Philosophy of family life

The article analyses the concept of "family" and the attitude towards it over the centuries. We consider the factors that affect the development of the institution of the family in the word of today. We provide a historical account of how the roles of men and women used to be perceived. We show how family life affects a person’s self-awareness. We describe in detail how two distinguished philosophers, Erich Fromm and Immanuel Kant, viewed the marriage and family.
