Development of the public transportation system in the moscow agglomeration: expectations and assessments of the capital

The paper presents results of a study conducted among the Moscow students and devoted to analyzing development of the city transportation infrastructure. The authors of the study reveal significance of the transportation infrastructure for social mobility and quality of life of the students. They emphasize importance of the students’ opinions, given their active use of public transportation and significant influence on the transportation system. The students’ preferences and needs in public transportation are analyzed, as well as possibilities in its improvement in the context of the urban infrastructure and technology development. Main attention is paid to the assessment by students, their opinions and attitude towards the public transportation system development in the Moscow agglomeration.
