Using an expert system in management and control of subsystems of the geoanalytical system

The paper describes relevance of the geospatial information systems and their cooperation with the artificial intelligence, which gives rise to a new scientific area, i.e. geospatial artificial intelligence. It considers the geoanalytical system operation and identifies a potential “bottleneck”. To eliminate the problem, the paper proposes a solution in the form of a scheduler that distributes tasks among the geoanalytical system subsystems. It is recommended to use an expert system in the schedule implementation. The paper presents features of the expert system operation and its interaction with modules of the information flow management subsystem. Conclusions were made during the paper preparation. They consider the issues of refinement and applicability of the expert system with the geoanalytical system in other areas.
