The process of developing a mathematical model of a sector scanning antenna array is described using the example of a 32-element equidistant digital antenna array (DAA), which is designed to scan a specific area of space, detect and track targets. The development sequence of a typical antenna mathematical model is presented; the basic parameters of the antenna and diagrams are calculated. The choice of considered DAA type and the prospects of using such systems are justified. The calculation of the antenna array model was performed using the MathCAD mathematical modeling program. The relevance of the topic is determined by the prospects of using the DAAs in location technology, since with their use it is possible to create more promising radar systems. The development of the DAA is the most developed and promising direction in which the starting point in the development of the system is the calculation of its mathematical model.
