The paper describes the basic principles of designing an air flow sensor. The classification of hot-wire sensors is carried out. The basic principles of operation of such sensors are considered. The simplest diagram of the probe in the hot-wire anemometer flow sensor, as well as the probe control circuit are presented. A constant current method for measuring air flow and a constant temperature method for measuring air flow are described. The simulation of the air flow sensor operation was carried out using two methods. It is concluded that the dependence of the output voltage of the sensor on the change in the probe resistance is linear.
