The prospects and trends in the development of modern memristor technologies are considered. The problems of memristor development and their application in modern electronics are investigated. Memristor has a number of specific properties that allow it to occupy quite a weighty niche in the field of data storage, Internet of Things and neural networks. The market for memristors is not as broad, and there is high competition for applications for these technologies within it. The article defines the total market volume, analysts' forecasts regarding the development of this area of electronics. It also shows the relevance of the application of these devices, and predicts the growth rate of areas in which memristors are used or can be used.
