Violent crimes against the sexual integrity of minors — problems and their solutions under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation

The paper discusses the issues of exploitation of minor children, their incitement to sexual violence by third parties, as well as the voluntary consent of minors to work in the field of prostitution. In certain articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, contradictions regarding the responsibility of individuals for prostitution are noted, and in Art. 240.1 of the Criminal Code there are also contradictions regarding recognition of minors as a victim. Various factors of involvement of adolescents in prostitution are analyzed, the use of these articles of the Criminal Code in judicial practice and the latency of crimes of this kind are investigated. Attempts are being made to explain the reasons for the existence and relevance of such crimes. Possible ways of solving problems and improving the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation are proposed.
