This article reviews the use of fiber laser processing for the labeling of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). The possibility is revealed of obtaining images protruding above the surface of the material with sufficient contrast by laser impact for which organic glass (PMMA) is transparent. For experiments, a fiber laser was used with a wavelength of 1.06 μm, equipped with a scanning optical system. To study the process of forming a protruding image above the surface, the following parameters were varied: average power, marking speed, pulse repetition rate, and fill interval. The influence is studied of each of the parameters on the height of the resulting roller.
