This article examines in detail the scrap metal preheating technology in the Tenova Consteel® system. Particular attention is paid to the process features: scrap transportation, preheating, operation of gas burners, and the automatic control system. The researchers examine in detail the benefits of implementing this technology, including reduced energy consumption, reduced melting time, optimization of production processes, and improved environmental performance. Of considerable interest is the practical experience of implementing the Consteel® system at the Ashinsky Metallurgical Plant, demonstrating the high efficiency of modernizing steelmaking operations using modern technological solutions. The high efficiency of this technology opens up prospects for its further spread in metallurgy.
