The possibility of using engines with external heat supply for power supply is considered. A computational study of heat exchange processes in such an engine with an infrared catalytic burner powered by methane has been performed. The analysis of heat losses and effective methods of heat dissipation is carried out. Various mechanisms of heat exchange processes are considered, including heat transfer by radiation, thermal conductivity and convection in the system components. The study of heat transfer in the work includes a detailed calculation of heat exchange coefficients, analysis of heat losses and optimization of the cooling system.
