This paper presents the results of a numerical determination of the aerodynamic characteristics of an aircraft by simulating airflow processes. The study was conducted for two lifting surface configurations: a traditional straight wing and a spanwise curved wing. A comparative analysis of the pressure distribution and aerodynamic coefficients for the two configurations was performed. Based on the obtained data, patterns of influence of wing curvature on lift and drag were established. Finally, practical recommendations are formulated for adapting existing engineering calculation methods developed for straight wings to the design of aircraft with complex lifting surfaces.
