Comparative analysis of the basic concepts of the sphere of intercultural communication in Russian and English languages

The actual problem of the need to describe the nationally specific originality of the vocabulary of the sphere of intercultural communication in the linguistic pictures of the world of people speaking Russian and English languages is considered. To solve these problems, the work used the method of analysis of dictionary definitions, the method of comparative analysis, as well as elements of quantitative analysis, which made it possible to establish the relative frequency of the use of the analyzed lexemes in English and Russian languages. The basic concepts of the sphere of intercultural communication are analyzed on the basis of teaching aids for the course on intercultural communication. Revealed semantic, grammatical, stylistic, connotative differences between the compared vocabulary units.
