Examining the digital divide between baby boomers and zoomers in their use of online media, the author emphasizes that zoomers, who grew up in the internet age, prefer visual platforms for self-expression, while baby boomers use Facebook and YouTube for communication and information. The identified intergenerational differences also affect digital literacy: zoomers are more critical of content and aware of cyber risks, while baby boomers are more likely to encounter fake news. Despite the gap, the generations are gradually converging as they embrace new technologies. An important step toward overcoming these differences is developing digital literacy and fostering intergenerational dialogue.
