The article presents the essence of the information space digitalization process, characterizes features of the information space exposed to digitalization, and analyzes the problem of introducing technical innovations into the information space, i.e. the influence of this phenomenon on the youth political activity. The author in the study relies on the theory of political communication. This approach considers cognitive transformations in the political communication making it possible to analyze the processes in the area being fragmentary, multilinear and multimodal. The research novelty goes beyond a simple analysis of technical innovations in the information space, since the author is trying to understand how digitalization affects processes in the youth political activity. Relevance of this topic lies in the fact that information space digitalization in the modern world is transforming into an increasingly intensive and integral process, during which not only technologies and methods of access to information are altering, but also the socio-cultural practices including the political activity of citizens, especially of the younger generation. Understanding digitalization influence on the youth political activity is important in predicting the society development, forming effective strategies of interaction with the new media realities and ensuring relevance of the political communication in the context of constant changes.
