Efficiency of the enterprise innovation activities is largely determined by the ability to implement modern digital technologies ensuring effectiveness of the transition processes and risks reduction. Empirical data confirm importance of using the project management methods, such as the Waterfall cascade model, in organizing smooth and systematic transition to the digital innovation. The paper considers an approach aimed at adapting this model for the Russian companies making it possible to increase their efficiency in project implementation and optimize final results of the
innovation activities.
