Nowadays it is actively used biometric data for confirming identity. In connection with this fact, it has become necessary to test a variety of recognition algorithms. This required a large database created by special programs (for example, SFinGe for the synthesis of fingerprints). It is researched noise models which are arisied in a digital image (Gaussian noise, Rayleigh noise, Erlang noise, exponential, uniform, impulse noise). It is given the examples of physical phenomena that can be described using the presented noise model. Natural and synthesized biometric images with various noises on them are shown for comparison.
