The two concepts of production management, Lean Production and Six Sigma, are the subject of this study. Their essence and content are revealed and their characteristics are analyzed. Their comparative analysis is carried out to determine the conditions for their application in terms of objectives, required results, preparedness of personnel and the size of the enterprise. The analysis of theoretical foundations serves as a method of research. The analysis shows that each of the concepts can be effectively applied separately, but the best solution is the application of the combined concept of Lean Six Sigma, which provides a synergistic effect. The limiting factors for the application of the combined concept are the size of the enterprise and the preparedness of personnel.
